Time To Dust Off The Old Skateboard

Because really folks, I can't see where this could go wrong, especially with my well behaved gang: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpKGNsXVFH4&feature=related

  1. Never in a million years would I try that now... but... when I was a kid I fitted my childhood dog with an upside down horse halter as a harness, tied two leashes to it (one leash per side, like driving a horse in a buggy), sat down on my skateboard and off we'd go around the neighbourhood. Fond memories.

  2. I did something similar to that too when I was a kid. We had a completely untrained, neurotic Kerry Blue Terrier and of course no helmets way back then. Kids today are so coddled, they don't know what they're missing.

I'm with you, Elayne! I've been wasting my time trying to teach my dogs how to ride a sketeboard when all along I should have been training them to pull one!

I've been scooting around on Lilly's while she stays "calm," and every time I do it ... Tom says, "Don't fall!"

    Gee, thanks, hon.

  7. My husband intends to book a room in advance at the hospital the day I finally get around to trying skijoring. There's support for you.

I used to ride a skateboard in college. Last time I tried (about 8 years ago) I fell and swore never again but maybe I can come out of retirement to help you with Lilly. I even still have my old skateboard.
