So I did. Only, they didn't get around to actually canceling it until three years later. Yup, free cable for three years. And that despite me calling them several times to remind them! True story.Muttsandaklutzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05551047401085562752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11345288.post-81786800050376501222009-09-08T11:04:22.141-06:002009-09-08T11:04:22.141-06:00I'm afraid that I won't be happy until I c...I'm afraid that I won't be happy until I can pay nothing on a regular basis, then go to one menu, pick what I want, pay $2 or $3 to watch it on my TV, and then go away again for a couple of months. I turn on my TV virtually never, and it's always such a stress when I do (ok, dvd is playing but it's not showing up on the tv--why? ok, satellite box is on but all I'm getting is static--why? etc.). And if I'm going to pay $6 for a movie, might as well go to the matinee at the theater, which I prefer because it gets me out of the house (maybe opposite thing from what people who work outside their home want).

Meanwhile, it's literally months between times when I turn on the TV. Tweets on the screen would annoy me even more than various messages that seem to scroll across from time to time.Elfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01827436807468320435noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11345288.post-47674560190248743282009-09-07T15:46:58.945-06:002009-09-07T15:46:58.945-06:00Yeah, I'm kind of an idiot that way. Don't know how many more Rez workouts I'll go to though now that I know how cold it's getting because I'm not a hardcore idiot, maybe just a little bit 'touched'.

I can't stand all the ads and logos on the screen during shows. It's one of the main reasons I want to cancel the cable. If I really want to watch something I can get it on Netflix with no commercials or disruptions on the screen. And when I inevitably fall asleep I can rewatch it when I wake up.Elaynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02734583197185810124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11345288.post-12960881125711306792009-09-06T21:54:42.890-06:002009-09-06T21:54:42.890-06:00Oh man, I can hardly imagine getting up so early t...Oh man, I can hardly imagine getting up so early to work out, nevermind to jump into a big bowl of ice water. UGH! Good for you having such get up and go.

You've got to be kidding about Twitter on tv. I'm only just starting to accept the little channel logos in the corner of the screen.Muttsandaklutzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05551047401085562752noreply@blogger.com
